I'm feeling sorry for myself.

What was I thinking? The day after the Easter long weekend I scheduled a dental appointment for two fillings. One was just a surface thing to stop erosion (I'm feeling it is best to think in terms of conservation...) but the other was a big thing.

It looked like a small drill and fill but we found out today that it was just a little more than that. A miners helmet might have been brought in for the dentist, I'm not sure as I had my eyes firmly shut.

Straight after getting my filling and paying ($$$$!) I went to the library and borrowed a few more books so I could while away the afternoon. I then zipped over to the supermarket to get some eggs as with the numbness I have a feeling that hard food is not an option for my next meal. (I assure you that they were not chocolate eggs - that is how I got into this mess in the first place.)

Now I'm lying on the couch with the cat on my knee and I'm feeling a little sorry for myself. I have a vibration headache from the drilling - taken some paracetamol, and I've rediscovered the joys of trying to drink without the use of half your mouth.

I think I might have a sleep to get over it.....or maybe watch Dr. Phil. and Oprah - that will numb the brain.

We all sat down and watched Dr Phil and Oprah together. We had lunch (pasta with sauce made from the tomatoes we grew) balanced on our knees and continued to watch Dr Oz talk about neti pots and cochlears.

This is how my family relax and bond. It's 2pm and Connor is still in pyjamas. I love holidays.

Hopefully your mouth is feeling better by the time you read this. I have terrible luck with the dentist myself. My teeth seem soft and cavity prone no matter what I do. Try to find good dental insurance is my best option at this point except there isn't any good insurance anymore, maybe covers $1000 per year including your cleanings which are $175 each. Yikers! Rich husband? Better job? I'm open to suggestions here!
