I had dinner with some god friends last night. It was fantastic to see them. We sat and talked about not much. I love that with old friends: talk if you want to, or not as the mood takes you.
The drive home was interesting.
It was raining for part of the way and it was windy most of the way.
These friends live just over an hour away from me so the drive there and back is always interesting.
Last night there were many drivers who wre driving SOOOOOOO slowly and a number of them were swerving. I dont want to think this but I think they were a little drunk. Most of these people I passed could not stay in their own lane. This is quite scary as a fellow driver.
It took me a little longer to get home than normal (just on 1 hour and 10 minutes) as I was carefully avoiding the drivers.
I have one question. Is the drink/driving campaign working?

Good idea to stay WELL CLEAR of wobbly drivers.
I am not sure road safety/anti drink driving campaigns are working because no-one personalises the message to themselves. They can't mean ME surely, I've only had a couple...blah, blah...OOPS!
Wow! Its like we had almost the same night in different parts of the country!
you have god friends. I'm jealous. :}
Probably not... at least not with some sections of our community... similar problem to the alcohol-fuelled violence around the Melbourne CBD nightclubs that that is getting the headlines this weekend - an excess of drink; a distinct lack of maturity; certainly a lack of respect for others; and a totally selfish attitude towards everything in the world...."I'll be right"... with an emphasis upon the "I".

If it is anything like it is here in the U.S. - most of the idiots are talking on their cell phones or text messaging while driving - I have had many drivers cross over into my lane - almost head on - because they were too busy with their cell!! Good thing I have a horn!
